The
Quattro Venti Calledro flying field is situated in San
Liberato near Narni and is recommended for all those
people who want to combine a sport or experience the
thrill of a sightseeing flight with their holidays in the
various facilities found in southern Umbria.
There is a sports association called Quattro Venti
Calledro present on the field which has the diffusion of
recreational or sport flying (VDS) as its main goal as
well as the formation of aeronautic knowledge in the young.
In
this context the first day of flying is gratis, first and
only manifestation of this kind, to attempt to convey that
flying is affordable for all and that flying is a safe
sport if carried out with dedication and seriousness.
The
sports association offers private lessons or sightseeing
flights.The sightseeing flight has a flight range that
goes from Amelia, Spoleto, Narni, Marmore Falls as far
as Todi. Only one person may fly at a time.The course to
obtain the certificate of sport recreational flying (VDS),
and will be done with an official VDS instructor and PPL
pilot.
